The Epiphone Supernova Guitar Story

!±8± The Epiphone Supernova Guitar Story

The Epiphone Supernova was the signature guitar that was made for the leading guitarist, Noel Gallagher, who belonged to the band, Oasis. Epiphone Supernova had some features that were similar to the Epiphone Semi Acoustic guitars. Along with that, there were also some features that were derived from the Epiphone Sheraton and Epiphone Dot.

The features that made Epiphone Supernova one of the world's outstanding guitars was that it had covered tuners that were of vintage style with small chrome knobs. The headstock of the Epiphone Supernova is elongated, which took on the Classic Gibson Design. The elongated headstock just made to balance the large body of the instrument perfectly.

The name of the model Epiphone Supernova is printed on the truss rod cover. It has a white plastic nut that is finished smoothly. One of the elegant features of Epiphone Supernova is the mahogany neck, which has a metallic blue finish, just as the body. The shape of the neck is like heel and it is fixed. The neck is thin and it feels really comfortable to maneuver the fingers and it just allows fast movement on the strings.

The fret board of Epiphone Supernova is dark chocolate rosewood with a nice close grain. It also has the split parallel markers and antique binding finish that gives it an elegant outlook. The frets are of medium size and are really smooth and well polished. The action is a low straight from the box.

The hollow body of the Epiphone Supernova makes it extremely light. The arch top body and the central block are made from the laminated maple. The bridge of the Epiphone Supernova is a standard Tuno-o-Matic and stop tail bridge that is chromed.

The pickups are two chrome covered Alnico V 57s in solid black surrounds, as well as a single row of pole pieces as seen in ES-335. There were black top hat knobs for the volume and tone controls for each pickup. The Epiphone Supernova has a pickguard of white pearloid with a large Epiphone logo and Noel Gallagher's signature. The guard is traditional of a raised variety and is held off the body with a small chrome bracket at the bottom.

The Epiphone Supernova has medium to large strap buttons, with one at the bottom of the guitar and the other at the back at the heel. This feature allows the guitar to hang really well. Epiphone Supernova has an output jack on the front below the controls. This guitar just plays awesome and it can play from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Alternative Rock, Pop and a lot of other genres.

To date, a lot of professionals just cannot wait to put their hands on the Epiphone Supernova. The Epiphone Supernova is present in a number of different colors, which includes a Manchester Blue, as well as the Epiphone Supernova with a Union Jack design on it with the signature of Noel Gallagher, which makes it an awesome choice.
